Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) has clarified that the national standards for sugar snd polypropylene are applicable to all manufacturers in Pakistan without any discrimination and in no case are binding on foreign manufacturers.

However, since both standards for sugar and polypropylene bag are mandatory, as per law, regardless or origin, thaes are mutatis mutandis applicable to imports as well.
